Management of existing public infrastructure and running efficient maintenance programs are being realized through the use of smart technology. The interest in spatial locations of assets is not new, but applications, workflows, and methods in collecting and analyzing data are developing at a rapid rate with the onslaught of new technology. What’s even more exciting is the ability to seamlessly integrate GIS with enterprise asset management systems (EAM) to create on-demand, customizable business workflows that are unique to a corporation or departments within a corporation.

407 ETR is utilizing a field management software solution for on-the-fly communications to its back office and EAM. Its application connects field staff with office IT staff without the need for anyone to have a background in GIS. 407 ETR’s field asset management solution includes a central database to hold asset information that can be updated in real-time from all departments, and feeds data directly into its EAM so that staff can exploit the data for intelligence.

Join 407 ETR on a live webcast to hear the steps it took to consolidate disparate software systems, attain true integration with EAM and accelerate its business in asset management. You wouldn’t want to miss hearing its “Four Truths to Field Asset Management”!

As part of our Summer Webcast Series, Hexagon Geospatial invites you to view this on-demand webcast highlighting end-to-end National Mapping Agency solutions from Hexagon Geosystems and Hexagon Geospatial.

Great stories start with Hexagon. For example, building a comprehensive national mapping agency solution with hardware and software produced by Hexagon Geosystems and Hexagon Geospatial. Discover how the National Mapping Agency of Morocco (ANCFCC) implemented their complete geospatial data production solution: from using the Leica ADS80 digital camera coupled with the Leica ALS70 LIDAR laser scanner for data collection; to photogrammetric processing with Leica XPro tightly combined with IMAGINE Photogrammetry (formerly LPS) to producing huge volumes of orthomosaic, DTM, DSM and 3D vector data; and finally into complete data management and delivery using ERDAS APOLLO Professional.

Listen to the whole story, where the speaker reveals how the processing center was set up to combine the power of Leica XPro and IMAGINE Photogrammetry to achieve high performance.

This session also highlights the challenge of technology transfer in an emerging country, where the commitment of the solution provider is crucial for the success of the project.

This webinar highlights the functionality and advantages that the IMAGINE Auto DTM add-on module can do for you. The differences between the 3 processing levels that are showcased and included in this Auto DTM add-on module and why you would use each one. With our latest Semi-Global Matching (SGM) algorithm now available as an add-on to IMAGINE Photogrammetry, your options for creating digital surfaces just got better. The SGM algorithm not only creates an accurate dense point cloud with high-definition hard edges on rooftops, but it also RGB encodes the output for an image-like quality dataset. The SGM method features a straight-forward, user-friendly interface to facilitate image pair selection, customize the processing strategy, and define your output options. Take your image repository to the next level.

When Mornington Peninsula Shire held a major review of its existing asset management solution, they found that their collection, inspection and management workflows were in need of a considerable overhaul. Reliance on paper-based inspection records and outdated processes were preventing the Shire from managing information effectively. To facilitate consistent and accurate data collection, they recognized the need for a centralized asset management system that enabled secure, real-time data access within map-based workflows and forms. The Shire chose GeoMedia Smart Client as the single solution supporting both internal personnel and external contractors collecting data in the field. Learn how the application’s ease of use enables even inexperienced GIS users to exploit the wealth of information contained in the database. As a result, daily work has become more efficient, with time saved during data updates that can now be done, error-free, on the fly.

In a country as densely populated and regulated as the Netherlands, detecting and mapping change is critical. Whether it’s for updating building footprints for base registrations and taxes, or to detect changes in terrain to control water flow, being able to act on changes quickly is vital. 3D point clouds can have a huge benefit in both sectors. In this webcast, you will learn how the City of Nijmegen has overcome traditional problems with imagery based change detection like leaning and shadow, using high density point clouds derived from stereo. It allows them to detect even the smallest changes, like roof extensions and new developments in backyards of houses. Also, you will understand how Waterboard Hunze & Aa’s can apply the same techniques for terrain analysis, allowing them to detect obstructions in water lines and other changes that affect natural flow of water. Being able to act fast, strategically plan for pumping and identify areas at risk for flooding, they are able to save resources, and even lives.
