USGS' 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) delivers high-quality topographic data and three-dimensional representations of the nation’s natural and constructed features. These national elevation datasets support a range of critical applications, including natural resource management, transportation infrastructure, natural disaster management, and public safety.
Many state agencies face the enormous challenge of establishing an authoritative LiDAR data repository for state, local, and private sectors to fully realize the societal and economic benefits of these data. Processing, storing, managing, and distributing LiDAR data presents unique challenges due to the increasing volume and density of data, the need for a variety of access and retrieval methods across different applications and platforms, and a growing need to integrate LiDAR data with other data types for analysis and visualization.
Although data management workflows are important, they do not have to be difficult or time-consuming. In this webinar, you will learn how everybody — not only geospatial experts — can ingest, catalog, and publish point cloud and other data types (raster, vector, elevation, and photo mesh) for dissemination via the web.
