Hexagon’s Geospatial Division Names Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs a Developing Education Partner
16 August 2018NORCROSS, Ga., 16 August 2018 – We are excited to announce that Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs is now a Developing Education Partner of Hexagon’s Geospatial division. This partnership opens a window for many new opportunities, including providing students with up-to-date licenses of ERDAS IMAGINE for Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs’ online training.
Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs is the first organization to develop a full online educational program in the field of remote sensing and satellite image processing that includes training, evaluation, testing, and certification through the organization’s Remote Sensing Portal.
This online learning portal is designed to boost knowledge and basic concepts of remote sensing science, as well as provide a flexible certification process. It currently features 94 lectures, 16 short courses, and a question repository. All 16 courses have an online exam with the opportunity to obtain a certificate. The courses are currently available in English and Arabic.
“Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs is proud to use Hexagon’s technologies in achieving this strategic goal within all our courses and online exams,” says Ayman Salem, executive director at Brilliant Remote Sensing Labs. “Our partnership, in addition to becoming a certified training partner to Hexagon, will surely have a positive impact on the Geospatial community, especially academia, through their learning in our Remote Sensing Portal.”
In addition to establishing the use of Hexagon products as the preferred software for remote sensing education, this partnership has also helped build a relationship with The ISPRS Foundation (TIF). The ISPRS Foundation works to provide financial assistance to qualified individuals and organizations pursuing and/or applying knowledge to advance the sciences and technologies associated with the disciplines embodied by the ISPRS, including photogrammetry, remote sensing, and spatial information sciences.
“We look forward to hearing success stories from students who complete these courses, assisting in their journeys to pursue careers in remote sensing and geospatial technologies,” said Mladen Stojic, President of Hexagon’s Geospatial division.
