NYC Water Quality Interactive Demo
Examine the distribution and response time for water quality complaints
About the NYC Water Quality Incident Analyzer View
As home to over 8.5 million people, New York City has one of the densest populations in the United States. Each of those citizens relies on clean, healthy water. With an aging and stressed infrastructure, New York City faces many challenges.
This Incident Analyzer View maps the spatial distribution of water quality complaints over the last 6 years across the five boroughs - Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. This view allows users to look at complaints by the kind of water quality problems. The data can also be examined for each of the boroughs. In addition, citizens and utilities can understand how quickly the city has responded to their complaints.
The patterns shown in this Incident Analyzer could help the NYC get a quick, graphical idea about where problems are concentrated, and model their response to complaints.
