INTERACT Luciad User Conference 2016: Brussels - 28 and 29 September05 July 2016
Luciad announces its 2016 User Conference, the premier event for geospatial professionals and developers from the Aviation, Defence, Maritime, Safety & Security and Utilities & Logistics sectors on September 28 & 29 at Square - Brussels Meeting Centre.
Over 200 geospatial professionals will come together for two days of presentations and innovation, as well as for a special social event at the historic Belgian Comic Book Museum. Luciad will deliver dedicated tracks for geospatial commercial professionals and developers for Luciad Certified Partners.
Commercial professionals will be able to network with their peers and have the opportunity to gain from the experience of speakers working at the cutting edge of the geospatial industry, such as Alexis Letulier of the European Satellite Centre, Anne-Mieke Vandamme of the University of Leuven and Bart De Lathouwer, Director of Interoperability Programs at Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). The sessions announced so far include talks on geospatial situational awareness at SATCEN, tracking the Ebola virus and open standards development and interoperability.
Developers will be able to hear from some of the geospatial industry’s leading software development experts including Christoph Krüger, Lead Architect at Lufthansa and Frank Suykens, Luciad’s Chief Technology Officer. Topics will include intelligence gathering and aeronautical messaging systems.
Joining the speakers will be major industry companies, including Airbus Defence & Space, Special Operations Solutions, the European Satellite Centre and Dassault, sharing their views on the latest innovations in geospatial applications and technology. The conference is also sponsored by key geospatial and technology innovators, including Oracle, Unifly, DigitalGlobe and Barco with more set to be announced.
